Classy AUTO WASH
Frequently Asked Questions

Q     How wide of a vehicle will the car wash accept?
A     Every vehicle is laser measured at Classy Auto Wash.  Not only does
this provide a better quality wash, but this system allows even the
Mammoth Hummer H1 to fit!  And yes, a full size dually pickup will fit too.
Be sure to fold those mirrors in on all wide vehicles!

Q     Why is there a delay right after the soap goes on and nothing seems
to happen for a while?
A     We use high quality soaps and cleaners that labs have shown to
actually remove dirt as it streams down the side of your car.  Those
precious seconds when it seems like nothing is happening is a valuable
part of the cleaning process.

Q     Will my full size 4 door long bed pickup truck fit?
A     Yes!  Be sure to remove your hitch though...that's one long truck!

Q     Why doesn't the second arch of dryers turn on when I get the $6
express wash?
A     Most touchless washes feature 3 dryers, as does our first set of dryers
(although ours have 50% more power than most).  The second set of
dryers is a special design of 3 additional dryers called the Maxx-Dry system
that only operates on the $9 Ultimate wash.  Classy Auto Wash has
Michigan's only Maxx-Dry system.

Q     I have a bike rack on the back on my vehicle and I'm wondering if it will
be damaged if I leave it on while getting a car wash.
A     Not only would you risk damage to your bike rack, but also to our
equipment.  Any rear racks (bike or otherwise) should be removed prior to
going in to any automatic car wash.  Roof racks are actually okay at Classy
Auto Wash as long you clear the clearance bar at the entrance.  However,
if you have a ladder rack with a ladder (or other long item) protruding
further than any outside edge of your vehicle, remove the ladder prior to
washing.

Q     So what were all the red tubes in the driveways that I saw when the
car wash was being built?   I see them in the construction photos too.
A     All of our exterior cement has a snow melt system built in to keep our
driveways free of water, ice, salt and dirt.  We installed a similar system
inside the wash bay  to keep the bay heated in the Winter.  This allows you
to wash and dry inside an enclosed heated bay, no matter how cold it is
outside.

Q     Is your water recycled?
A     No, recycled water has a tendency to retain dirt particles and when
jetted at high pressure, they can damage paint on vehicles.  We use only
fresh water at Classy Auto Wash, and in addition we have invested in the
Pur-Clean system which provides us with reverse osmosis water that we
use with our spot free rinse at the end of every wash.  This water is
processed in the same way as the bottled water you buy at the store!

Q    What hours are you open?
A     We are open 24 hours a day...7 days a week...365 days a year!
Okay, okay, there are a few times when we close for repairs and upgrades,
but since the car wash usually runs with no employees we are able to be
open almost all of the time without ruining anyone's holiday.

Q     My old truck is a bit rusty and has some after market items I've
installed like a bug guard on the hood and some add on mud flaps.   Is it
safe to bring my truck to your car wash?
A     Well my friend, enter at your own risk!  You are welcomed, but any
damage to older rusty vehicles or to non-factory accessories fall on your
own shoulders.  Our wash jets and our dryers are very powerful and may
do damage to the things you mentioned.
